TerraForm PRO v.2.2.0 has been released and is available for download in My Account > Downloads.
It includes loads of new features that we hope will significantly improve your workflow, including:
ENHANCED DTM IMPORT:
- Creation of seamlessly tiling landscapes.
- User prioritisation of area or landscape resolution.
- Mechanisms to prevent different scaling of landscapes in X and Y axes (avoiding issues with collision geometry).
- DTM area selection and cropping.
- Handling of no-data regions.
POWERFUL NEW BLUEPRINTS:
- Complex Procedural Buildings V2 - import building footprints to create complex, highly detailed buildings based on user-defined styles and blend the landscape to fit.
- Simple Procedural Buildings V2 - import building footprints to create simple, highly optimised buildings based on user-defined styles.
- Area Spawner V2 - populate GIS vector areas with static mesh actors (great for car parks, solar farms, crop fields, sustainable/planted forests etc)
- Procedural Fences V2 - create styles for fences and place them with GIS vector line data. Modify landscape materials and terrain to fit.
- Procedural Power Lines V2 - create styles for different power lines and place them with GIS vector lines. Remove trees/foliage by modifying landscape masks to fit.
- Water Bodies V1 - create lakes using GIS areas. (Creates water surfaces and sculpts the landscape to create bathymetry.)
- Landscape Modifier V1 - Use GIS vector data to mask landscape material layers and flatten terrain.
- Linear Features Tool - Generate procedural meshes by extruding a user-defined profile shape along imported GIS vector data. Great for walls, tunnels, and roads etc... Supports landscape blending.
- TerraForm PRO Landscape Manager - UE4 Editor utility to blend buildings, lakes and vector masks with the landscape.
UTILITIES SCRIPTING:
- Select and automatically convert/replace procedural assets created with TerraForm PRO into static mesh actors to significantly optimise performance.
- Randomly rotate selected actors.
Our apologies it's taken a little longer to get this one out to you than we'd hoped. We've modified our development practices to ensure future updates are available in the shortest possible time after a new formal version of UE4 (/UE5!) is released by Epic.
We're updating documentation and creating new video tutorials for all the new features at the moment and we'll post them as they're available.
Thanks so much Paul, can't wait to test this!
Hi Paul,
Just wondering how progress is going with documentation for v.2.2.0? Given all the new features/options it would be great to get some info on how to use them.
Cheers
